Performance covers a wide range of topics, and Jackson considers life expectancy to be one of the key features of the escalators and moving walkways we install. It starts with the quality steel and welding process used in the manufacture and ends with a thorough pre-delivery test of each unit before it leaves the factory.
In-use, correctly maintained Jackson escalators and moving walkways are designed
to have a life expectancy of 25 years.

Durable cast aluminium steps and pallets are supplied, which help reduce the
total weight of the unit and the power demand on the drive, helping to reduce overall energy consumption. Additionally, the energy-efficient escalator and moving walkway drives, provide customers with additional options for automatic stop/ start and sleep mode with passenger detection, helping to achieve the BREEAM Credit 2 standard.
