Platform
Platform lifts have become an accepted and economical choice for building owners and managers to install in low-rise environments where passenger flow is low and wheelchair access is needed. To support this need, Jackson has a dedicated team of platform and mobility access specialists working nationwide to help with customer needs.
The platform lifts Jackson install range from pre-designed model lifts that offer a range of sizes and capacities, to semi-bespoke glazed external lifts. Generally, platform lifts require only a small footprint and limited building works for the installation. This makes them a very economical solution for meeting the requirements of Part M and BS 8300 and complying with the Equality Act (formerly the 1995 Disability Discrimination Act).
New Installations
The passenger and goods platform lifts that Jackson supply can be installed in both new and existing buildings, and with options for internal or external environments. They are suitable for offices, shops, schools, care homes, public, hospitality and buildings with a travel of up to 12m.
Replacement platform lifts
Depending upon a platform lift’s usage and the availability of replacement parts, it can often be more economical to replace a worn platform lift with a new and current model, particularly if the lift was installed approaching 20 years ago to address the requirements of the 1995 Disability Discrimination Act. One of our platform lift specialists would be happy to help with advice and solutions if your platform lift has become unreliable or looks worn.
