City Centre Vehicle Lift

We are all familiar with public underground car parks but not so much with underground car parks for private residences. However, with the increasing difficulty of inner-city parking and security, more of the premium residential premises being built now include basements that can be potentially used to park a car.
This was the case for one of our long-standing customers who wanted secure basement parking at a city centre property.
As with all new installation and modernisation projects, one of our project engineers had detailed discussions with our customer to establish the best options and cost-effective solutions for the property.
With the outcome determined, Jackson designed and commissioned the manufacture of a heavy-duty, specialist lift car to accommodate a large premium car. As the lift had limited travel, typical of a vehicle lift, a hydraulic system was chosen to lift and lower the lift car. The decision was also made to include Peelle vertical sliding lift doors at both ends of the lift car. This would allow for cars to move through the lift and into a parking bay.
The lift is now fully commissioned and performing exactly as intended, supported by Jackson engineers who are undertaking the routine maintenance requirements under an ongoing contract.
